Get the best of the spectacular and unique Baviaanskloof surroundings, departing from and returning to Knysna (located on the Garden Route – N2, 500km East of Cape Town).

The mountainous route covers the Prince Alfred’s Pass, the area around the Mount Daskop, the Antoniesberg Pass, the Baviaanskloof and the Rust en Vrede 4×4 trail.

Day 1: (286km, of which 25km on tar road)

Meeting in Knysna – Collection of the motorbikes and rider’s apparel.

Prince Alfred’s Pass – Uniondale – Nuwekloof Pass – Willowmore

Day 2: (185km)

Willowmore – Groot Rivier crossing – Antoniesberg Pass – Patensie

Day 3: (115km)

Patensie – Baviaanskloof

Day 4: (245km, of which 103km on tar road)

Rust en Vrede 4×4 trail – Kareedouw – N2/R102 to Nature Valley – Plettenberg Bay – Knysna

Restitution of the motorbikes and apparel – End

OTHER INFORMATION

 

This tour only requires basic off-road skills, but although the small displacement dual-sport motorcycles make things easier than with a big adventure bike, a reasonable level of fitness is strongly recommended.

The Baviaanskloof can be flooded any time of the year after heavy rains or storms, however the tour is almost always practicable.

We are happy to organise extra accommodation for you, e.g. on the day before the tour and/or last day, please specify your request in the booking form.

We can also organise flights to George (from Cape Town, J’burg or Durban) and then taxi to Knysna.
